Bible & Louanges is a mobile-first Android app and PWA for reading, singing and revisiting spiritual content in a calm daily experience.
Bible & Louanges includes a public presentation site, a PWA and a dedicated Android app. The work highlighted here is the app because it carries the core experience: reading, singing, meditating, and coming back each day to spiritual content. The app had to stay gentle, simple, and accessible. The subject calls for restraint: the interface must not overshadow the texts, the hymns, and the moments of reading. Every screen was therefore designed to encourage focus and a regular habit of use. The journey brings several uses together in one space: daily content, reading, hymns, favorites, and quick navigation. The challenge was to give the feel of a complete app without making the experience intimidating. Mobile guided much of the decision-making. The app needs to open quickly, be used for a few minutes, then let users pick back up later right where they left off. The desktop version still has its place, but the heart of the experience is clearly mobile-first. The showcase site keeps its role as a gateway and presentation, but the product to highlight is the app. The Android version is published on Google Play, while iOS is the next planned platform.
